Group Sessions are organized by skill level. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced with 2 to 6 players per basket. Each session provides in-depth instruction on core concepts, tailored to help every player refine their skills with personalized guidance. Live defender drills are incorporated to practice newly learned techniques in game-like scenarios. These sessions are open to players aged 6 and up. Beginner: Perfect for those new to basketball or with minimal experience, focusing on fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and basic game understanding in a supportive, confidence-building environment.
Intermediate: Ideal for athletes with foundational skills, these sessions enhance techniques, introduce advanced strategies like pick-and-roll and defensive positioning, and foster teamwork for competitive play.
Elite/Advanced: Designed for experienced athletes aiming for mastery, these high-intensity sessions refine complex skills, strategic execution, and peak performance, preparing players for top-tier competition.
Individual Skill Development: Suitable for any skill level, from beginner to elite, this personalized training tailors exercises to the athlete’s specific goals, addressing unique needs like shooting accuracy, agility, or playmaking.
To ensure a productive and safe first day at AP Basketball’s training sessions, athletes should bring the following equipment:
Athletic Attire: Wear comfortable, breathable clothing suitable for basketball, including a t-shirt, shorts, and non-marking athletic shoes with good grip that haven't been worn outside (preferably basketball-specific sneakers to support quick movements and reduce injury risk).
Water Bottle: Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated during training. Hydration stations are available, but having your own is recommended.
Basketball: While we provide basketballs for group sessions, athletes in individual skill development sessions may prefer to bring their own standard-size basketball (size 7 for men, size 6 for women/youth) to familiarize themselves with their personal ball.
Personal Items: A small towel for sweat, any necessary medical items (e.g., inhaler, knee brace), and a positive attitude ready to learn and grow.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and ensure all equipment is ready. If you’re unsure about specific needs for your session (beginner, intermediate, elite, or individual), contact our team in advance.
